To Camp and Back
Hello and welcome back to my blog today I will be showing my writing for this week. What we had to do was write a about camp and the six C's that we used during camp. Here is my writing I hope you like it.
To Camp and Back
On the 13 of september 2021 the whole of Kaupeka went to YMCA wainui camp. At wainui camp there were many activities like coasteering, high ropes, abseiling and so much more. We went to camp to learn new things and also so we could have fun.
At camp we did something called shelter building. It is when you go into the forest and you have to make a shelter. We had to learn this skill because if something happened and we were in the forest and we got lost we would have to build a shelter. The group that I was in got split in half to make two teams. The winning team got a chocolate.
Collaboration
We used Collaboration because we had to be in a team to make a shelter. We all had different jobs so that the shelter could get built faster. Some people had the job to get sticks, others had the job to put pine needles on the shelter.
Creativity
We had to use creatively when we built the shelters because you were only allowed to use the thing in the forest. Our shelter had to be waterproof so we put pine needles on our sheater to make it waterproof.
Creativity will help me if I ever get lost in the forest because I could make a shelter if I got lost because the quickest way to die is from hypothermia.
